Santa Monica Conservancy's Historic Downtown Walking Tour
I would be willing to bet that most of you don't know about the super informative, very enjoyable Santa Monica Conservancy's Downtown Walking Tour.
This event takes place EVERY Saturday at 10am (rain or shine) and departs from 1436 Second Street in Santa Monica. Admission is only $5 for Conservancy members and $10 for non-members.
The tour last about 2 hours and is led by long-time Santa Monica locals. Visitors learn about the cities fascinating 130 year history from a Wild West Frontier Town to a Urban Beach Community. The route highlights the city's historic architecture and reflects on charming stories of the past.
For those who are group-phobic-- private and self guided tours are available.
